WINTER IN THE CITY

Winter in the city is a suite of photographs upon the
snow theme in the city landscape of Tornio, the port
of Lapland in Finland. Tornio city is the oldest town
in the nothern Scandinavia, the twin-city of Haparanda
by the border to Sweden.

The town is finely situated as it stands at the river.

There are always great motifs to explore in the special
light, in the magic landscape of the northern part of
Finland. Torne river is the longest river in the northern
Europe. The river discharge its waters where Finland and
Sweden meets in the northern part of the Gulf of Bothnia.

SILJA PRESENTATION

As an artistic photographer I love exploring the
world from a creative viewing angle not using neither
filters or lenses.

Being an autodidact artist the digital photography
of mine is the ultimate brush.

I have been an active photographer since Januari 2005
and to me it´s a way of using another artistic technique
among others to experiment on for expressing the world
through my eyes.

I´m never on the lookout for motifs to
photograph. Usually I react to something that
I find attractive and direct my camera towards
it for a quick snap-shot. Unexpected moments
inspires me to catch a pic.
